Sunday Morning: Epistle to the Galatians

Join us on Sunday as we are delving into the Apostle Paul’s letter to the Galatians.  The Galatian church had received the Gospel with joy, but later false teachers came with confusing messages about the relationship between Old Testament regulations and the New Testament in Christ.  As we journey through this book, we are exploring contemporary examples where a confusion between Law and Gospel can wreak havoc with people’s faith.  Thankfully, by the Holy Spirit’s guidance, He gives us understanding in the true faith and our confidence in Christ’s merits alone!

Thursday 1:00pm: Revelation

Our Midweek Bible study is going through the Book of Revelation.  Although often viewed as a scary and mysterious book, this prophecy of John is actually a powerful message of perseverance, victory, and hope for Christians.  Drawing from the fulfillment of Old Testament themes and the Gospels, we are seeing how God is fulfilling His good purpose for those who believe and executing judgment on Satan and his demonic host.

Commentaries being used for the Bible study include:

Concordia Popular Commentary on Revelation by Dr. Louis Brighton
Commentary on the New Testament Use of the Old Testament (ed. G.K. Beale & D.A. Carson)
New International Greek Testament Commentary by G.K. Beale
DVD Bible Study: Revelation: A Testament of Hope by Dr. Mark Brighton

Monday 6:30pm: Bible in 90 Days

The Bible in 90 Days group encourages individuals to complete what for many Christians is the goal of a lifetime-to read through the Bible completely, from “cover to cover,” in a manageable time frame.  We meet weekly to discuss things we’ve observed and watch a video lesson which helps sum up themes and tie the week’s reading into the whole picture.
Our group will conclude on December 10th.
